Bronwyn makes decorative horse gear. She shares that her mother put her on Weight Watchers when she was 11 years old. She says she had “hunted for the answers to her weight for her entire life.” She was bullied at boarding school, and to avoid it, Bronwyn would only eat lunch. She lost weight this way, and didn’t realize that she was intermittent fasting at the time. She maintained her weight loss through high school. Once she went to college, Bronwyn would do Weight Watchers every spring to maintain her weight to get into her riding jacket. But then she’d put the weight right back on during the winter.

In April of 2019, Bronwyn found IF through a group on Facebook. Her first week of IF she lost and gained the same amount of weight, and decided then that it would not work for her. A month later, she tried IF again. She heard about Delay, Don’t Deny and the Intermittent Fasting Podcast through the Facebook group. To date, Bronwyn has lost 26 pounds thanks to IF. The health benefits she has experienced have been mental clarity, improved memory, and she is no longer tired during the day. She also realizes now that she used to eat to fill the emptiness. “Fullness brought comfort,” she remarks.

Bronwyn has shared IF on her own personal Facebook page, and has given out three copies of Delay, Don’t Deny to friends. She estimates that between 30-50 people are now IFing because of her!

The advice she’d give new IFers: “It’s normal to gain at first. Make sure you clean fast. Take photos and measurements. Knowledge is power. Weight loss is about insulin, not blood sugar.”
