Carrie works with an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. In 2009, she participated in a weight loss competition at work (even winning) and lost a lot of weight. Busy in operating rooms all day, she was only able to have a snack, then dinner…Carrie was intermittent fasting and didn’t even know it! But once the weight loss contest was over, she went back to eating all day, and gained the weight back.
She was officially introduced to IF in June 2019 by her cousin. She was skeptical at first, but read the book Delay, Don’t Deny in two days, and “knew instantly that IF was the answer.” She jumped into 18:6, and went on walks for the last hour of her fast. She has lost 25lbs.
Carrie feels so free and so happy with IF. She has experienced a great deal of energy and is far more productive. She enjoys the connections she has made with others, and says it has been “such a good journey.” Carrie encourages and shares IF with all of her patients, along with both books: Delay, Don’t Deny and The Obesity Code.
Carrie’s advice to new IFers: “Measure all of your body to see the inch loss. Don’t dwell on the scale. Take pictures. I didn’t realize how awful I felt until I didn’t anymore.”
