In this episode of Intermittent Fasting Stories, Gin talks to Jessica Hooper from Westfield, NJ.
Are you ready to take your intermittent fasting lifestyle to the next level? There’s nothing better than community to help with that—and now, it’s time for us to get Cleanish! In September we moved the Delay, Don’t Deny Social Network to a new and improved platform and the community has really taken off. In the Delay, Don’t Deny Community we have a true community feel, and there’s just the right support for you as you live your IF lifestyle. And, we have just begun a community book study for Gin’s new book, Cleanish! It isn’t too late to take part.
For a limited time, you can use the coupon code CLEANISH to join the DDD Community and save 15% once on any plan. If you join as an annual member, that’s less than one dollar a week for a year of community and support!
To take part, order cleanish today through your favorite bookseller or through the links at ginstephens.com/cleanish and then go to ginstephens.com/community to join the community for 15% off using the promo code CLEANISH. Don’t forget to click “apply” after entering the promo code to have the one-time 15% discount applied before completing your enrollment. The book study started January 5th and we look forward to getting Cleanish with you in the new year!
Jessica is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She struggled with her weight in high school, which began a vicious cycle of dieting. She maintained her weight in college, but upon entering nursing school, gained it all back. Jessica eventually reached her highest weight of 290 pounds and felt miserable. Discouraged and defeated, Jessica gave up.
In 2019, friends shared intermittent fasting with her, and Jessica thought IF sounded impossible. But, she joined the Delay, Don’t Deny Facebook group, listened to the Intermittent Fasting Stories podcast, and combed through countless transformation pictures and stories of IF success.
By May of 2020, Jessica was ready to begin her own IF journey. She has lost a total of 96 pounds, and varies her daily fasts.
Jessica has so much energy! She sleeps great, and now feels in control. “I have found myself again,” she remarks.
Since IF, Jessica’s health has greatly improved. Her blood pressure is lower, her acne has cleared up, her aches and pains are gone, and her thyroid meds have been reduced.
Jessica’s advice to the new IFer: Be consistent. Give it time. Little changes will yield incredible results. Give yourself grace.
