Season 1

Episode 165: Jenni Herchenbach

In this episode of Intermittent Fasting Stories, Gin talks to Jenni Herchenbach from Omaha, NE.

Gin’s new book Clean(ish) is available for preorder!  Gin wants to show you how to become clean(ish) where it counts:  you’ll learn how to eat (mostly) clean and live (mainly) clean as you unlock your body’s natural ability to self-clean.

Instead of aiming for perfection (which is impossible) or changing everything at once (which is hard, and never leads to lasting change)you’ll cut through the confusion, lose the fear, and embrace the freedom that comes from becoming clean(ish).  As you learn how to lower your toxic load through small changes, smart swaps, and simple solutions, you’ll breathe a (clean) sigh of relief and embrace your own personal evolution toward becoming clean(ish).

Go to https://www.ginstephens.com/cleanish.html for more information.  The book will be released on 1/4/22, but you can preorder now through Amazon or your favorite online book retailer.  Preordering is really important, as it gives the publisher an idea of how many books to print.

Jenni is a “happily unemployed” occupational therapist and grandmother.

Jenni read Delay, Don’t Deny in one day, and immediately became a faster. IF came into her life while on a new path to liking herself: “I spent way too many years not liking myself,” she shares. Jenni feels that IF would not have worked for her had she not done work on her heart first.

Jenni began with a 16:8 protocol, and eventually found that 21:3 was her ‘sweet spot’ for weight loss. At her highest weight, Jenni was 197 pounds. After more than a year of IF, she discovered her ‘happy weight’ is between 148 to 158 pounds. She has stopped tracking her fasts and weighing and is now just happily living the IF lifestyle.

Jenni’s advice: “Nail the clean fast. Settle in. IF is not quick weight loss. Ditch the scale, but instead find a dress or pants to be your guide. Take lots of photos, and have someone point out the changes they see you in you!”
